A great honor to serve President Silvio Berlusconi
On April 26, 2022, in Monza on a spring day, with the right temperature, while we were struggling to prepare the room for dinner, a tall and distinguished gentleman enters with a tie and talks to Lorenzo, a collaborator of the Il Moro Restaurant for the past 3 years.

The distinguished gentleman with the tie, excuse me Lorenzo: “We would need a table for 4 people for tonight”
Lorenzo, known as Lollo: “certainly sir we have this free table”
The gentleman: “no no, I need that, pointing to table six” right next to the painting by Giulio D’Anna the Sicilian Futurist.
Lollo: “I’ll call Mrs. Antonella so she can talk to her directly”, Antonella approached and exclaimed “sir the table is booked I’m sorry”
The gentleman: ” it’s for security reasons, kindly I need that table”
Antonella: “All right, sir, can you know what name to reserve the table for?” – “As soon as you arrive you will recognize him immediately, see you this evening” replied the distinguished gentleman
The arrival of Prime Minister Berlusconi
At 20:35 on April 22, 2022, 2 distinguished and very tall gentlemen enter, check the table 6 and then 4 people and then two more very tall gentlemen.
The murmur and the ferment in the room significantly increase ” The President “ ” Berlusconi is at the Moro”.
Antonella: “President Welcome, it is an honor to host you” the President replied ” Dr. Galliani recommended this restaurant to me, where are you from?”
“Sicilians sig. “President”, replied Antonella- “Well with the Sicilians you feel good and you always eat well” “but these paintings by Giulio D’Anna, good, the place is linear and clear, the paintings and works of Caltagirone embellish it a lot” replied President Silvio Berlusconi
What Prime Minister Berlusconi ate at Il Moro restaurant
Very direct, he consulted the menu and said: “my guests can choose what they want ( there were 4 at the table ) I put you to the test, let me try this risotto, because from the Sicilians I never imagine risotto”
After the risotto, the President exclaimed: “Formidable, you brought me back to Sicily with a risotto, well done”
And in the meantime he tasted the paccheri with pistachio of Raffadali DOP and Sicilian Prawns, and a forkful of spaghetti sea urchin and caviar from his guests.

He enters the kitchen, immediately before there is the washing area and meets Napoleone, our trusted collaborator for the past 13 years, and offers him his hand.
Napoleon: “Mr. President, my hands are wet” President Berlusconi replied: “The hands of those who work are always clean”
Dear President Berlusconi,
having served LA 4 times in his career was a great value and honor, the first time in Costa Smeralda in 2002 in Poltu Quatu at the Oblò Restaurant,
the second time when he asked us in his Villa for a Catalan lobster, just like it is done in Sardinia !!
The third in 2010 at the Il Noble Restaurant in Monza, in a very private dinner,
and unfortunately the last time on April 26, 2022 in our Il Moro restaurant.
On the occasions when we were able to talk to her, elegance, availability and humility were perceived in a contagious way.
