What happens and when

It is the feeling of extending the sense of sharing to transform so much goodness into authentic “good works”. chef Vincenzo and Salvatore Butticè Il Moro Ristorante, creators of the project and standard-bearers of the team who managed to organize: ” We are firmly convinced that our work goes beyond the simple pleasure of the palate and that cooking must be a bridge to the community, a means to give back, with passion and dedication, something positive to the territory that hosts us. Every year, together with other chefs from Monza and Brianza, we are committed to organizing special evenings of gastronomic happiness in favor of those who are less fortunate. For this year’s edition, we have chosen the Centro Mamma Rita in Monza as a charity partner, a reality that is particularly close to our hearts. With the evenings that we have planned with our colleagues, we want to raise awareness and mobilize the community to support those in difficulty so that our work, made up of heart and hands that prepare dishes, can become a big heart that beats for the territory and for the people who make it special e”.

Monza gastronomic excellences chef for children pro Mamma Rita

October 21, 2024 is the date set to open the first chapter of the charity initiative in favor of the Mamma Rita Center in Monza at Il Moro Ristorante: a sixteen-handed dinner created and prepared by the chefs of the Monza restaurants that have joined this fundraising project that will end in its climax on the evening of December 3 at the Saint Georges Premier Restaurant a Gala Dinner.

The involvement of the Meregalli Group company was directly supported by the CEO Marcello Meregalli: ” Mamma Rita has been an excellence in Monza for many years and the help she has given to so many children is commendable. When the opportunity arose to bring our contribution to the Center, together with our chef friends in the area, we accepted with enthusiasm and got involved, in the hope that by joining together we can help Mamma Rita in the best possible way ”.

The commitment of the chefs involved in the fundraising initiative will not be limited to the albeit important activity during the dinners scheduled for October 21st and December 3rd, but will also take shape during the time between the two convivial appointments: the dish chosen and dedicated by the chef to the charity pro Centro Mamma Rita project, from October 22nd to December 2nd will be present in the menu of his restaurant and every time it is chosen by the chefs customers, 2 Euros will be donated to the Centro Mamma Rita and the sum raised will be delivered on the occasion of the gala dinner.

In the kitchen to assist the chefs and in the dining room to serve the tables, the students of the Adriano Olivetti Hotel Institute in Monza led by the Dean Dr. Renata Cumino: ” As a school institution that has inclusion as one of its strengths, we will have the honor of participating in this charity event. The chefs of Ristorante Il Moro Salvatore and Vincenzo Butticè, confirming the idea of gastronomic research dedicated to Brianza, after Ri-Conoscenza the menu dedicated to Brianza biodiversity of peasant and popular inspiration and interpreted by the chefs of Il Moro in a contemporary key, add another theme of culinary in-depth study, the Royal and aristocratic cuisine of Monza during the Savoy hegemony.

The chefs of the renowned Il Moro restaurant in Monza will present a unique event of its kind: the revival and reinterpretation of the historic menu served on October 24, 1898 on the occasion of the prestigious reception held at the Villa Reale in Monza. The original banquet was offered by the sovereigns of Italy, Umberto I and Margherita of Savoy, to celebrate the second anniversary of the marriage of Princes Vittorio Emanuele and Elena.

The original banquet on October 24, 1898 included a selection of refined dishes, including fine appetizers, international and French-inspired first courses, selected meats and desserts of the Savoy tradition. For 18 years now, the Butticè family has been delighting the palates of the Monza and Brianza families on the occasion of the commanded holidays of December and January.

For the important days of December 2024, Christmas Eve, Holy Christmas, Boxing Day, a special day because the Father of the three Butticè brothers is called Stefano, and the Dinner on December 31, Chefs Salvatore and Vincenzo and the kitchen staff have created ad hoc itineraries, between the classic and the contemporary, so as to guarantee gastronomic experiences to remember.
