Chef’s for children
On December 4th, Il Moro will open its doors to host a charity dinner in support of a new and great project: “PizzAut, let’s nourish inclusion”.
PizzAut was born from the idea of a father, Nico Acampora, parent of a child with autism who, together with other parents, conceived and structured a path of social inclusion, through work and professional training. Unfortunately, not infrequently children with autism are totally excluded from professions and social relationships, they themselves constantly experience it every day on their own skin, together with their parents. This project aims to start a social inclusion laboratory, through the creation of aclassroom managed by children with autism who will be supported by catering and rehabilitation professionals.
Salvatore and Vincenzo Butticè, together with guest chefs Andrea Alfieri, Adriano Del Mastro, Felix Lo Basso, Luca Mauri and Roberta Zulian will be the protagonists of a splendid tasting journey, united for a very important purpose. Some students from the Olivetti hotel institute and two autistic children will instead help the kitchen and dining room staff, coordinated by the maître sommelier Antonella Butticè.
For over a decade the Butticè brothers have been proposing to il Moro their cooking philosophy, culture, tradition and flavors of the real Sicily, through an elegant and intelligent reworking of taste, a constant study of technique and an obsessive search for the best raw materials. Il Moro is a place where you can experience a real food and wine journey between conviviality and good taste, but at the same time tries to be particularly sensitive to fragility and projects that deserve attention and dissemination.
Nico Acampora: “PizzAut will be a place for the family but also for young people, where you can feel good and have fun with quality products, taking the right time, without being in a hurry and pretending to eat a pizza in 5 minutes. A place where you can meet with the calm necessary to build and consolidate relationships, away from the frenzy that puts those with autism in difficulty but which in general do not benefit anyone”.
A heartfelt thanks to the partners of the evening for their support and help: Ars Italica caviar, C&C catering & banqueting, Kasanova, Planeta vini, Pastificio Monograno Felicetti, Riserva San Massimo.
PizzAut dream that is slowly turning into reality.
